Did you always want to be a Business Woman?
I like being in control of my own destiny. As a young person, I\\\\\\\'ve dreamed of that corner office with the view of the city skyline!
How would you describe your experience as a Black Entrepreneur?
Of course, as a women and entrepreneur its very challenging, however, its only made me more focused and determined to grow and do whatever it takes to be successful.
Looking back on your business decisions, is there anything that you would have done differently?
Yes, trusted myself more.
Did you have any formal business training? Do you think this is important to be successful?
Even after college, I have spent my adult life continuing to learn all aspects of business, i.e., marketing, sales, accounting management, etc.
What funding sources have worked for you?
None
How has family/friend support financially or otherwise affected your business efforts?
My family for the most part has been very supportive. Especially in this economic climate, as long as your serious, your family and friends understand now more than ever the importance of supporting one another.
How do you work on making your business grow?
On a consistent basis, I'm advertising my businesses through email, social networks, community events, ads, etc.
What words of wisdom can you share with other business women?
Trust your instincts, God gave them to your for a reason - Get to work!
