Successful Sista Profiles was something that I started on my SistSense blog in 2006. The idea came from my surprise when I discover B. Smith, the Black Martha Stewart, as well as countless other sistas in business that I never knew about. I don’t want my fellow Sistas in Business to go around thinking that Oprah is the only one, nor do I want us to believe that there are no spaces for us to share our stories of success. Once simply a way to show appreciation to well-known Black Women in Business, Successful Sista Profiles has now become a resource for Women Entrepreneurs of Color to share their stories and network with other successful business women.

We only get one life to live, which means we have to live it to the fullest. If God placed us on this earth to be leaders, creators, designers of our own destinies, we must do so with pride. Claim your birth right and be the strong woman you were born to be.
Even when the bank funds are low, the babies are bawling, and big Daddy is kicking up a fuss, don’t give up. I won’t give up. I am not afraid … I was born to do this. We all were.
Remember to Be Creative, Standing out can often times lead to fitting in. Whatever your business is, remember to be creative and make it your own. At the heart of every successful business is a person who had the passion, drive, and creativity required to help that business succeed.
